With nine trims to consider across the 2027 Kia EV5 lineup, from Light FWD all the way up to GT-Line Limited AWD, it helps to know exactly what you're getting at each level before you decide. Every EV5 starts at $43,495* MSRP and comes standard with Kia's nearly 30-inch panoramic display, heated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Kia Connect with over-the-air updates, and a North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging port. From there, each trim adds more range, comfort, and technology as you move up the lineup.
The Light FWD is the entry point to the EV5 family and arrives in Q4 2026. Equipped with a 60.4 kWh battery, it offers a targeted 335 km of range, making it ideal for daily commuting and city driving. Cloth seating, navigation, dual 12.3-inch displays within Kia's panoramic screen, and a driver-focused cabin give buyers everything they need without stretching the budget.
The biggest upgrade in the Wind FWD and Wind AWD models is the larger 81.4 kWh battery. Front-wheel-drive models deliver up to 460 km of targeted range, while AWD models offer 415 km along with added confidence in changing road conditions. Wind also introduces a standard heat pump, improving efficiency during colder Canadian weather, making it an excellent balance between value and capability.
The Land trim is where the EV5 starts to feel noticeably more premium. Synthetic leather seating replaces cloth, while the driver gains memory settings and the front passenger receives power adjustment. A panoramic sunroof, smart power liftgate, wireless phone charger, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, ambient lighting, and a heated steering wheel all become standard. These upgrades make everyday driving more enjoyable without moving into the highest-priced trims.
Sportier styling meets smarter technology in the GT-Line models. Along with exclusive exterior accents and unique 19-inch alloy wheels, buyers receive ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a sport steering wheel. Technology also takes a step forward with Highway Driving Assist 2 and the upgraded Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, adding enhanced lane-change assistance and expanded collision detection for greater peace of mind on longer drives.
The GT-Line Limited offers the most complete package. Drivers enjoy a head-up display, Harman Kardon premium audio, Digital Key with fingerprint authentication, 360-degree Surround View Monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist. It combines every major comfort, convenience, and safety feature available on the EV5 platform into one flagship model.
